Current Kittens

Somalis make wonderful pets as they are intelligent, playful companions who love human company. The boys, particularly, love fuss and cuddles and keeping your knee warm. Girls love to keep you company around the house but can be more independent. They are also fun to show as most revel in the attention they receive. We would be delighted to sell you a kitten to show for fun, but are equally delighted to sell you a wonderful pet. A permanent loving home is our main concern.

Our kittens are born in a specially made kittening box in our bedroom where the queen can have privacy from other cats and we can keep an eye on proceedings. When they are regularly using the litter tray in their pen they are given the free run of the bedroom, then landing and when we feel they are ready we gradually integrate them with our older cats downstairs. By the time they are ready to go to new homes they should be well socialised and handled, confident and bold. Many of our kittens new owners contact us to let us know how they have settled in and they tell us that whilst the journey may have been rather noisy, the home coming was fine. Having taken a quick look round, located food, water and litter trays they are instantly at home. Just what we like to hear!

According to GCCF regulations they can go to their new homes at 13 weeks of age by which time they will be registered, weaned, litter trained, wormed and inoculated against feline enteritis and flu. We do not inoculate against leukaemia as we believe it is too much vaccine to put into little bodies at one time. It is perfectly safe (and advisable) to inoculate against this at any age after purchase and we start the course for kittens we are keeping a week after finishing their other vaccinations.

All our kittens go to their new homes with a Baranchri kitten pack (Litter, food, toys, a set of "instructions"),  GCCF registration papers, a 5 generation pedigree certificate, inoculation certificate, 4 weeks free insurance from Petplan and Royal Canin food vouchers.

All male kittens are registered on the inactive register and must be neutered as soon as recommended by your vet.
Female Somali kittens may be bred from, but if you do not want kittens
they should also be neutered as soon as recommended by your veterinarian.

We are always happy to advise new owners of the suitability of their kitten for showing and are always available for follow up advice should this be required.

Our current price for pet/show Somali kittens kittens is £350. We charge £400 for female breeding kittens. We do not sell male cats for breeding.

The price reflects the fact that we do not inoculate our kittens against Leukaemia.

If you think you would like to adopt one of our kittens now or at some time
in the future please do not hesitate to
contact us for a chat.
