'Storm' to his
friends is a lovely clear usual Silver neuter boy out of our Destiny
and UK Grand Champion Astrokini
Fils Debolly of the Supatoft
cattery. Thanks to Brenda Horsley for allowing us to use this super
boy.
At only a few days old Chris fell in love with him and announced
that we would keep him.
He is very affectionate and loves to sit under your chin smothering
you with kisses.
He is a real Daddy’s boy and has Chris just where he wants him!
On the show bench he did well in kitten classes taking first and BOB
each time he was shown and has a
Best in Show Semi-Longhaired Kitten
to his credit. He really loves all the fuss and attention of showing
and revels in the hustle and bustle of the day. As Storm grew,
however, it became more and more obvious that he was not a good
specimen of the breed (no surprise to B, who had been reluctant to
keep him!) and hence it took quite a while to make him up to
premier, but Chris was determined to keep trying until we did and
eventually he made it. He often did really well in side classes, as
with his clear silver coat, glamorous furnishings and fabulous
temperament he wowed many a judge. He enjoys showing and doesn't seem to
mind travelling.
He has appeared three
times on
the show bench as a pedigree pet. At his first show he met a
beautiful Silver Tortie Maine Coon Boy (The cat that can't exist
according to the text books!) and was well beaten, but at his second
show he was in good spirits and awarded a MC certificate. He was
also narrowly beaten for best pet in the show! At his 3rd appearance
he also came 1st and was awarded a MC Certificate. His 4th
appearance at the Gwynedd was also a success and he now has 3 MC
certificates to make him a Master cat.
Thanks to Judges Irene
Roos, Julie Chadwick and Miss S Walker
He will
appear from time to time as he so enjoys the experience and he is
always greatly admired by show visitors and exhibitors alike, but we do
not plan to campaign him seriously.
He will be on the
Somali Cat Club table at the Supreme Cat Show on 20th
November 2010 if you want to come to say hello to him then.
